The company have a full orderbook for the next 1.5 years. </p><p><br></p><p>Established for over 30 years, this privately owned contractor specialises in infrastructure, groundworks and civil engineering works for major UK residential developers. Operating across approximately 30 live sites at any one time, the business has built an outstanding reputation for quality delivery, staff retention and long-term client relationships. The company currently has around 500 operatives on site alongside a dedicated technical and management team and boasts a strong forward workload valued at approximately £150m.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer looking for a long-term permanent position within a stable and financially secure contractor that genuinely invests in its staff and offers long-term career progression.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Setting Out Engineer Salary & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Salary £55,000 - £60,000 DOE</li><li>Company van with fuel card (personal use included)</li><li>Annual bonus</li><li>Private healthcare</li><li>Pension scheme</li><li>25 days holiday + Bank Holidays</li><li>Christmas shutdown (need to use 4 days but get 2 weeks off) </li><li>Long-term stable employment</li><li>Strong staff retention and progression opportunities</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Setting Out EngineerJob Overview</strong></p><ul><li>Setting out across multiple groundwork and infrastructure projects for major residential developments</li><li>Managing approximately 4-5 live sites simultaneously</li><li>Carrying out accurate setting out for roads, drainage, foundations, external works and associated infrastructure</li><li>Working closely with Site Managers, Foremen and Contracts Managers</li><li>Producing and interpreting site drawings using AutoCAD</li><li>Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme</li><li>Managing QA and as-built information xwzovoh where required</li><li>Liaising with subcontractors and site teams to coordinate works</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Setting Out Engineer Job Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer within groundworks, infrastructure or residential civils</li><li>Experience working on housing infrastructure / residential developments highly desirable</li><li>Proficient using Leica TS16 equipment</li><li>AutoCAD experience</li><li>Ability to work independently across multiple sites</li><li>Full UK Driving Licence</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with an exceptional reputation within the South East market, offering long-term security, strong project pipelines and an excellent working culture.</p>
