Our Glasgow office is growing, and we are looking for a skilled Revit Technician to join our Structures team.</p><p><br><br>If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.<br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As a Senior Structural Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality structural drawings and models to support the design and delivery of projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, education healthcare, defence and mixed-use developments. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of design information.</p><p><strong>Objectives of this Role</strong></p><ul><li>Undertake accurate REVIT modelling of a wide variety of existing and new buildings across a broad range of sectors.</li><li>Developing efficient workflows between the BIM and analytical software used with the engineers.</li><li>Prepare modelling documentation and drawings associated with RIBA stage reports, planning applications, and necessary approvals.</li><li>Provide specialist support to in-house structural and civil engineering colleagues.</li></ul><p><strong>Routine Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Undertake high level modelling studies to develop structural engineering options with the engineering team and provide early advice with regards co-ordination with other disciplines.</li><li>Prepare suitable renders to aid with conveying concepts and RIBA Stage reports.</li><li>Create a reliable and co-ordinated BIM model in accordance with the company BIM policy.</li><li>Provide ongoing advice to structural and civil engineering colleagues/clients/wider design team, in relation to the developing designs and details.</li><li>Produce material quantities and volumes to RIBA Stage reports and Costing Notes</li><li>Support and develop new methods of working and modelling with regards parametric modelling, in house BIM standards, and digital standards.</li><li>Actively engage in our in-house development forums, for subjects such as environmental sustainability and BIM strategies.</li><li>Reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling.</li><li>Manage relevant project documentation including, but not limited to, document control systems, model compliance, internal reviews. xwzovoh </li></ul><p><strong>Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or similar</li><li>Relevant prior professional experience as a REVIT technician within a building structures environment</li><li>Proven experience with complex building modelling</li><li>Strong analytical skills and compliance with quality systems and BIM standards.</li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Working knowledge of current compliance legislation</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What’s on offer for you: </strong></p><ul><li>An opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team in a leading consultancy </li><li>Competitive salary and benefits package </li><li>Excellent future career opportunities </li><li>26 days holiday per year, rising to 31 days with loyalty days, plus bank holidays </li><li>Fantastic training and development culture </li><li>Access to mentoring support from industry experts </li><li>Opportunity to play a key role in exciting and varied projects </li><li>Opportunity to be client facing and the chance to get involved with business development and marketing activities </li><li>Fast-tracked career progression for the right candidates </li><li>Hybrid working arrangements</li></ul>
