Senior Software Engineer<br><br>Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.<br>- SC Cleared Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £80,000 Clearance: Active SC Clearance and eligibility for DV To apply, email : Overview A leading organisation delivering operational cyber capabilities is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its growing technical team in Manchester.<br><br>This is an opportunity to work on highly secure, mission-critical projects supporting cyber operations in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software solutions used within operational cyber programmes, working closely with engineers, analysts, and technical stakeholders.<br><br>Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python and C++ Build and enhance operational cyber tooling and supporting systems Contribute to software architecture, technical design, and engineering decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end technical solutions Ensure high standards of code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practice Work within agile delivery teams focused on secure software development Required Experience Strong commercial software engineering experience with Python and/or C++ Experience working within secure environments such as defence, government, or cyber security Strong understanding of software engineering best practice and system design Experience developing on Linux-based platforms Ability to work effectively within collaborative engineering teams Active xwzovoh SC Clearance and eligibility to obtain DV clearance Desirable Experience Experience supporting operational cyber or cyber security projects Knowledge of networking concepts and systems programming Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling Exposure to cloud technologies, Docker, or Kubernetes What's On Offer Salary up to £80,000 Opportunity to work on cutting-edge operational cyber projects Strong career development and progression opportunities Competitive benefits package
