The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate, competitive cost estimates and supporting the commercial growth of the business by converting leads into profitable projects.Key responsibilities</p><ul><li>Prepare detailed estimates, cost plans and tender submissions.</li><li>Review drawings, specifications and subcontractor quotations to develop comprehensive bids.</li><li>Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities, take-offs and pricing schedules.</li><li>Work closely with the commercial and sales teams to scope opportunities, identify risks and propose value engineering options.</li><li>Engage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.</li><li>Present estimates and commercial proposals to internal stakeholders and clients where required.</li><li>Attend site visits to conduct surveys.</li><li>Maintain and update estimating databases, templates and historical cost information.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and bid strategy.</li></ul><p>Essential skills and experience</p><ul><li>Proven estimating experience within the construction industry is essential</li><li>Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Confident communicator with experience liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams. xwzovoh </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines under pressure.</li></ul>
