Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Rutherglen, Glasgow Company: Dalkia UK Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Commercial Manager About the Role Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to support our commercial projects team.<br><br>Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.<br><br>In this role, youll manage all cost-related aspects of our contractsfrom initial calculations to final accountensuring profitability and effective cost control.<br><br>Youll work closely with internal teams and our supply chain to manage risk, improve margin, and maintain our reputation for quality and accountability.<br><br>This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, values-led organisation at the forefront of the energy and engineering services sector.<br><br>Key Responsibilities Manage all commercial elements of major projects in line with Dalkia processes.<br><br>Conduct feasibility studies and understand customer requirements.<br><br>Monitor and control subcontractor accounts, including applications, variations, and payments.<br><br>Provide accurate forecasting of final accounts and cash flow.<br><br>Identify and manage commercial risks throughout project lifecycle.<br><br>Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on financial matters.<br><br>Prepare and deliver timely and accurate project reports, forecasts, and valuations.<br><br>Monitor all project costs including labour, materials, and subcontractors.<br><br>Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations.<br><br>What Were Looking For Essential: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.<br><br>Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills.<br><br>Confident communicator with proven stakeholder engagement experience.<br><br>Proficient in Microsoft Office.<br><br>Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.<br><br>Understanding of Health & Safety implications in commercial environments.<br><br>Desirable: Background in Mechanical & Electrical quantity surveying within building services.<br><br>Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.<br><br>Who Youll Work With Internal: Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, Buyers, Estimators, and Health & Safety teams.<br><br>External: Clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.<br><br>Our Values At Dalkia, our people are our greatest asset.<br><br>We work by four core values: People First supporting each other and investing in development.<br><br>Better Together collaborating across teams and disciplines.<br><br>Trusted Partners building long-term, transparent relationships.<br><br>Taking Responsibility owning our work and always aiming higher.<br><br>Why Join Us?
