<p><strong>The basics:</strong></p><br>Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.<br><p>Job Titles: Senior Quality Engineer</p><p>Industry: Precision Engineering</p><p>Location: Alfreton</p><p>Salary: up to £52,000</p><p>Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am-4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-2.00pm)</p><p>Contracted hours: 40 per week</p><p>Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.</p><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p>Working within modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities the Senior Quality Engineer will be working for a precision engineering business that manufacture components and fabrications for the aerospace, nuclear and defence industry.</p><p><strong>Brief overview of duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.</li><li>Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.</li><li>Compile documentation packs to support product delivery and traceability.</li><li>Provide engineering support for Visual and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections.</li><li>Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.</li><li>Apply First Article Inspection techniques in line with AS9102 requirements</li><li>Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the business</li><li>Use quality tools to detect, contain, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented</li><li>Define and apply process control methods, including identifying critical control points and developing work instructions</li></ul><p><strong>The ideal candidate / Senior Quality Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with data collection and analysis</li><li>A strong background at implementing quality systems within a precision engineering environment - aerospace/machining/fabrication or similar</li><li>Experienced in Lean/problem solving techniques (8D), Kaizen.</li><li>Knowledge of 6 Sigma process beneficial</li><li>Competent/capable of driving quality throughout a large business and manufacturer</li></ul><p><strong>Commutable from:</strong></p><p>Heanor, Ripley, Alfreton, Hucknall and Surrounding areas. xwzovoh </p><p><strong>If you are interested in the Senior Quality Engineer role, please apply immediately due to the urgency of this role.</strong></p>
