Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

<p>Job Description</p><br>The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.<br><p>Morson are working with one of the UK's leading aerospace manufacturer who are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team based in Portsmouth.</p><p>Role Overview</p><ul><li>Define and perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities, by ensuring correct implementation of procedures and processes, to ensure product quality meets the stated requirements</li><li>Lead prevention and quality improvements of AIT processes</li><li>Manage completion of corrective and preventative actions to closure</li><li>Drive the efficient management of non-conformance and Cost of Non quality reduction</li></ul><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Write a Quality Surveillance Plan (QSP) and continuously maintain it in accordance with project requirements.</li><li>Write specific instructions to define the inspection processes or checks. Request additional inspections when needed, such as those in response to a technical warning notice.</li><li>Chair gates reviews as defined in the project and as agreed with project PA (Manufacturing Readiness Review, Integration Readiness Review, Test Readiness Review, Test Readiness Board, Delivery Review Board, Pre-Shipment Review, Shipment Readiness Review...). Ensure that all related actions are implemented.</li><li>Create the Key Inspection Plan and support the Mandatory Inspection Plan.</li><li>Prepare the incoming inspection plan/checklist.</li><li>Review AIT work instructions for technical integrity, regarding product quality requirements including inspection, verification points and configuration status.</li><li>Manage all NCRs within the defined scope in AIT using problem solving tools. Confirm non-conformances and ensure robust closure using PPS techniques when root causes are not fully understood.</li><li>Chair Internal Review Board (IRB) and set functional teams when PPS tools are in place.</li><li>Ensure that lessons learned & near miss actions are implemented. xwzovoh </li><li>Support the elaboration and the efficiency of performance dialogue/SQCDP in the working area (schedule, daily work to achieve, top priorities, KPIs, achievements...)</li><li>Provide reports as required by functional and project management.</li><li>Provide monthly report of Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</li><li>Being the QA focal point for Critical Movements within the production facility</li></ul><p>Skill Set - Essential</p><ul><li>HND in relevant field</li><li>Experience in Quality Assurance</li><li>Experience in defence and Aerospace</li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li>Degree in relevant filed would be advantageous</li></ul><p>If you are interested in applying for a this position please submit an up to date CV.</p>
