Senior QA Engineer

<p><strong>Hiring: Senior QA Engineer (London – Hybrid 3 days in office)</strong></p><p><br><br>Considering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.<br></p><p>We’re working with a fast-growing, venture-backed technology company in London that is looking to hire its first dedicated QA Engineer.</p><p>This is a high-impact role where you will take full ownership of quality across a modern web platform, shaping QA strategy, building automation, and embedding best practices across engineering and product.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for QA end-to-end, including:</p><ul><li>Defining and implementing QA strategy across the business</li><li>Performing hands-on manual and exploratory testing on a daily basis</li><li>Building and scaling automated test coverage, with a focus on Playwright</li><li>Designing robust API and end-to-end test suites</li><li>Retrofitting tests across existing, partially tested features</li><li>Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams</li><li>Acting as an advocate for quality, including pushing back where necessary</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience owning QA in a product-led environment</li><li>Strong background testing web-based platforms</li><li>Solid API and end-to-end testing experience</li><li>Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium</li><li>Experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, xwzovoh and BDD methodology</li><li>JavaScript for automation</li><li>Comfortable balancing manual and automated testing</li><li>Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul><li>Experience building QA processes from scratch</li><li>Exposure to introducing new tools and improving QA workflows</li><li>Experience retrofitting test coverage in existing systems</li></ul>
