This role will involve managing major grid reinforcement, substation upgrades, and EHV cable systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.<br><br>The successful candidate will bring strong experience in HV transmission, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure delivery, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage contractors, and oversee commissioning and energisation phases.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Lead the delivery of HV transmission and substation projects from development through construction and commissioning.<br>Manage project planning, risk management, budgets, and schedules across complex infrastructure works.<br>Coordinate contractors, engineers, and stakeholders across electrical, civil, and commissioning activities.<br>Plan and manage major outages and switching programmes on live transmission networks.<br>Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of EHV cable systems and substation equipment.<br>Ensure compliance with health & safety, regulatory standards, and client requirements.<br>Produce project reports, progress updates, and risk assessments for senior leadership.<br>Maintain strong relationships with network operators, contractors, and project stakeholders.<br>Identify project risks and implement mitigation and recovery strategies where required.<br>Requirements<br>Proven experience delivering HV transmission or utilities infrastructure projects.<br>Strong background in project management within energy, utilities, or power sectors.<br>Experience managing EHV cable systems, substations, or transmission upgrades.<br>Knowledge of network operator standards and safety procedures.<br>Excellent stakeholder management, planning, and leadership skills. xwzovoh <br>Professional project management qualifications such as APM / MAPM or equivalent are desirable.<br>Benefits<br>Competitive salary and package<br>Opportunity to deliver major UK energy infrastructure projects<br>Work within a highly experienced engineering and project delivery team<br>Long-term career opportunities within the energy and utilities sector
