Senior Product Safety Engineer

You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering environment focused on delivering cutting-edge solutions across maritime platforms.</p><br>The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.<br><p>Working within an Integrated Development Team, you will play a key role in ensuring Product Safety activities are embedded throughout the full engineering lifecycle, supporting the safe delivery of system capability.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support Product Safety activities across multiple systems, ensuring safety considerations are integrated throughout the engineering lifecycle</li><li>Contribute to Hazard Identification and Analysis activities, supporting risk assessment, mitigation, and ongoing hazard management</li><li>Produce and maintain safety documentation, ensuring outputs are clear, structured, and aligned with project requirements</li><li>Ensure compliance with project Safety Management Systems, supporting governance and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to embed safety into system design and development</li><li>Apply knowledge of engineering lifecycle processes to ensure safety is considered from concept through to delivery</li><li>Adapt to changing project priorities, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative</li> xwzovoh </ul><p><strong>Experience </strong></p><ul><li>Experience in Product Safety, Safety Engineering, or Systems Engineering within a complex engineering environment</li><li>Understanding of hazard identification, risk management, and safety case development</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation</li><li>Experience within the maritime or defence sector is desirable, though other safety-critical industries will be considered</li></ul>
