<p>Job Description</p><br>The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.<br><p>Job Title: Senior C# / .NET Developer – Financial Services (Risk / Securities Lending)</p><p>Location: London (Hybrid)</p><p>Duration: 6 Months contract</p><p>Job Description</p><p>Role Overview</p><ul><li>We are seeking an experienced C# / .NET Developer to join a technology team supporting critical Financial Services platforms, with a strong focus on Risk Management and/or Securities Lending domains.</li><li>The role involves designing, building, and supporting high performance systems used for risk calculations and trading/financing workflows.</li><li>You will work closely with quants, risk managers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver robust, scalable solutions in a regulated environment.</li></ul><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain C# / .NET applications supporting Risk or Securities Lending platforms</li><li>Build and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with upstream/downstream systems</li><li>Implement scalable, testable, and maintainable object oriented code following best practices</li><li>Contribute to risk workflows including exposure calculations, limits, and reporting</li><li>Work with large data sets and high throughput systems typical of financial services</li><li>Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions</li><li>Collaborate with cross functional teams (Risk, Front Office, Operations, Compliance)</li><li>Support production systems and assist with incident analysis and remediation</li></ul><p>Required Skills & Experience</p><p>Core Technical Skills</p><ul><li>Strong hands on experience with C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET)</li><li>Excellent Object Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and design principles</li><li>Proven experience designing and implementing APIs (REST / JSON)</li><li>Solid understanding of application architecture, performance, and scalability</li><li>Experience with SQL databases (e.g. SQL Server)</li><li>Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines</li></ul><p>Financial Services Domain Knowledge (Essential)</p><ul><li>Experience working in Financial Services technology environments</li><li>Strong domain knowledge in at least one of:</li><li>o Risk Management</li><li>o Securities Lending / Prime Brokerage</li><li>o Collateral, Margin, or Financing platforms</li></ul><p>Risk & Regulatory Experience (Highly Beneficial)</p><ul><li>Exposure to risk and regulatory xwzovoh methodologies such as:</li><li>o RWA (Risk Weighted Assets)</li><li>o CCAR</li><li>o Basel III / Basel IV frameworks</li><li>Understanding of credit risk, counterparty exposure, or capital calculations is a strong advantage</li></ul><p>Nice to Have</p><ul><li>10+ years experience</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)</li><li>Messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka)</li><li>Experience in front to back trading or financing systems</li><li>Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery methodologies</li></ul><p>Personal Attributes</p><ul><li>Strong problem solving and analytical mindset</li><li>Comfortable working in complex, regulated environments</li><li>Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders</li><li>Proactive, delivery focused, and detail oriented</li></ul>
