<p>Morson are recruiting - Senior Mechanical Engineer (Pipework Component Design) <br><br>Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.<br> <br>Derby | Manchester | Warrington (Hybrid Working) <br>Full Time | Permanent <br>£48,000 - £62,500 DOE + Excellent Benefits <br> <br>Morson are recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer - (Pipework Component Design) to support a major Small Modular Reactor (SMR) nuclear new build programme, helping deliver next-generation clean, safe and reliable energy. <br> <br>The Role <br> <br>You'll be responsible for designing high-integrity pipework components used in a safety-critical nuclear environment, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams. <br> <br>Design pipework components to ASME III / B31.x / EN 13480 / PED standards <br> <br>Produce technical specifications, calculations and design substantiation <br> <br>Review drawings, supplier documentation and materials <br> <br>Support audits, inspections and technical assurance activities <br> <br>Engage with suppliers to resolve engineering queries <br> <br>Provide technical guidance and peer reviews <br> <br>What We're Looking For: <br> <br>Experience in pipework component design <br> <br>Strong understanding of nuclear / high-integrity design codes <br> <br>Experience producing safety-critical engineering documentation <br> <br>Exposure to fabrication, manufacturing or installation environments <br> <br>Strong communication and stakeholder skills <br> <br>Requirements <br>HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) <br>Chartered status or working towards (desirable) <br> <br>We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE plus:- <br>Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5% <br>Benefits Allowance - £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package <br>Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions. xwzovoh <br>Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days. <br>Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care <br>Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay <br>£250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases</p>
