<p><strong>Senior Hardware Engineer (3 month FTC - paternity cover)</strong></p><p>London (twice a month in London HQ)</p><p>c.£70,000 (pro-rata)</p><p><br><br>Increase your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.<br></p><p>Talentedge Tech are working exclusively with a very interesting London based Consumer Tech business. We're looking for extra hands on deck in the form of a Senior Hardware Engineer to help with some business critical HW releases.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a hands-on, high-impact 3-month contract focused on supporting the final development and launch of new products.</p><p><br></p><p>You won’t be owning a full product area, instead, you’ll act as a highly capable “force multiplier” across the team, picking up well-defined technical problems and driving them through to completion.</p><p><br></p><p>Think: less long-term roadmap, more “what needs solving right now to ship great hardware?”</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Over your 3 months, you’ll work closely with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing partners to:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Validate and debug hardware circuits across late-stage product development</li><li>Support hardware–firmware integration and feature bring-up</li><li>Investigate and resolve issues discovered during testing and manufacturing</li><li>Collaborate with OS/firmware teams to unblock system-level challenges</li><li>Assist with compliance and certification-related engineering tasks</li><li>Work with external manufacturing partners to close out final issues pre-production</li></ul><p><br></p><p>You’ll be given clearly scoped problems and the autonomy to run with them.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What we’re looking for:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We’re after someone who can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding. xwzovoh </p><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong fundamentals in electronics and hardware design</li><li>Proven experience in hands-on hardware development, validation, and debugging</li><li>Comfortable working independently and owning technical tasks end-to-end</li><li>Experience collaborating across hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams</li><li>Practical lab skills (e.g. scopes, power supplies, soldering, bring-up/debug)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Consumer electronics experience</li><li>Audio, wireless, or power system exposure</li><li>Experience working with contract manufacturers</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>How they work:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Remote-first, but the HW team meet in London roughly twice a month</li><li>Flexible, pragmatic, and focused on outcomes</li><li>A team of experienced engineers who trust each other to get things done</li></ul><p><br></p><p>They'll make sure you have the equipment you need to do your best work.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>This is a great fit if you:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Enjoy hands-on engineering over process and meetings</li><li>Like solving real problems in the final stretch before launch</li><li>Want to make a meaningful impact in a short space of time</li><li>Prefer autonomy and ownership over rigid structure</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>The details:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Salary: ~£70,000 pro rata (3-month FTC)</li><li>Start date: June 2026 (flexible for the right person)</li><li>Duration: 3 months (fixed term)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Sound like you?
