Senior Electrical Design Engineer

The role: We are currently seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our Electrical Design Team based in our offices in Newcastle city centre.<br><br>Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.<br><br>Working on a variety of exciting and bespoke engineering projects for our Offshore Energy product market group.<br><br>You will be responsible for: Electrical Design.<br><br>Specification Writing.<br><br>Specifying of parts.<br><br>Costing of Projects.<br><br>Technical Support to Customers.<br><br>Inspection and Test / FAT writing.<br><br>Working on Electrical Department Standardisation and Efficiency Initiatives.<br><br>Undertake the electrical design of work packs or projects with minimal supervision.<br><br>Delivery of complex engineering solutions to agreed time scales and budgets.<br><br>Ability to estimate, forecast, plan and execute to agreed plans.<br><br>Provide technical support and guidance for commissioning and installation activities.<br><br>Active engagement in Teams across the business.<br><br>Willing to challenge themselves and further their knowledge and experience as well as that of the business.<br><br>Job requirements: Degree or Diploma qualified Recent experience of a similar role in a bespoke engineering environment Experienced in designing: Power distribution systems at both 230V & 440VAC Machine control and instrumentation systems Control Panel design Motor starter or VSD design Experienced in Electrical CAD packages.<br><br>Experienced in working to ISO9001 or equivalent in a project based organization Eplan Electric P8 experience Previous experience within the Marine / Offshore environment Working knowledge of DNV GL & Lloyds rules Experience of working with Subsea Vehicles including design of High Voltage systems Knowledge & experience of relevant functional safety standards (IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC13849) Commissioning & Test experience (advantageous) Good communicator active and participating member of teams, department and project teams A high level of competence with IT systems and tools Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. xwzovoh <br><br>Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates or relocation packages.
