Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Full job description We're looking a passionate and forward-thinking Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team.<br><br>Apply promptly! A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.<br><br>You'll design, test and validate functional and robust electrical systems driving a sustainable future for GSE.<br><br>If you're ready to take your engineering career to new heights and make a real impact, we want to hear from you.<br><br>Main Duties and Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical circuit schematics, harnesses and panel layouts to applicable internal and industry standards and legislative requirements.<br><br>Create technical documentation including design specifications, work instructions, parts list, list of critical parts and maintenance components.<br><br>Conduct simulations and other engineering analyses to guide and verify designs and specify the electrical and electronic components for use in the vehicle system.<br><br>Liaise with cross department teams to fully realise design boundaries to helping to identify technical solutions to realise design and achieve "right first time" approach.<br><br>Develop electrical solutions by studying customer requirements, researching and testing components and determining overall system integration.<br><br>Communicate requirements and work with PLC Software Engineers to develop controls strategies for powertrain and driveline components and systems.<br><br>Working on projects to expand the current product range and bring new products to the market.<br><br>Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.<br><br>Understanding of safety critical systems and the application to electrical and electronics systems design Provide Engineering support and technical answers in accordance with internal standards.<br><br>Maintains product and company reputation by complying with regulations.<br><br>Any other duties as required by the Line Manager to suit business needs.<br><br>Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.<br><br>Adherence to company health and safety procedures.<br><br>In return we offer: Competitive rates and overtime Health Cash Plan Pension Life Assurance Discounted High Street, Gym Membership and Insurance Long Service Awards Social Events Cycle to Work Scheme Technology Scheme On-site Parking Early finish on Fridays!
