This is not a research-only role — your work will be deployed, used, and measured in live environments.</p><p>If you’re motivated by solving complex, high-impact problems and want to see your models drive real-world results, this is the kind of environment where your work will genuinely matter.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:</p><ul><li>Design, build, and deploy machine learning models that underpin core decision-making systems</li><li>Develop pricing, segmentation, and behavioural models to drive commercial optimisation</li><li>Work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and impactful</li><li>Contribute to the development of a production-grade data science capability, including model deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement</li><li>Translate complex modelling outputs into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Play an active role in shaping best practices, tooling, and standards across the data function</li></ul><p>This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of problems end-to-end — from initial concept through to production and performance measurement.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Working On</strong></p><ul><li>Decisioning and recommendation systems used in live operational environments</li><li>Pricing and optimisation models balancing multiple commercial factors</li><li>Customer and behavioural segmentation models</li><li>Experimentation and measurement frameworks to validate impact</li><li>Model explainability and interpretability for business users</li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Strong background in data science, machine learning, or statistical modelling</li><li>Proven experience delivering models into production environments</li><li>Commercial awareness — you understand how data drives business decisions, not just technical outputs</li><li>Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams</li><li>Ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex problems</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly</li></ul><p><strong>Technical xwzovoh Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Python (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch where relevant)</li><li>SQL and large-scale data processing</li><li>Cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, or similar)</li><li>Experience with model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management is highly desirable</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join</strong></p><ul><li>Work on high-impact systems used daily in real-world decision-making</li><li>Join a growing data function with strong investment and leadership backing</li><li>Opportunity to shape how data science is applied across a complex organisation</li><li>A collaborative environment where your work is visible and valued</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><ul><li>Hybrid working: 2 days per week onsite in Manchester</li><li>Competitive salary with performance-related bonus</li><li>Opportunity to work on complex, meaningful problems at scale</li></ul>
