Senior Cost Manager

Our client, a leading international engineering, and infrastructure consultancy, is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join their growing Project Controls team within the Wales & West region,based in either Bristol or Cardiff.<br><br>Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.<br><b>Key Responsibilities of Senior Cost Manager:</b><ul><li> Lead and deliver cost management services across major infrastructure and energy projects. </li><li> Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. </li><li> Monitor project costs, forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting. </li><li> Support project teams with cost analysis, earned value management, and commercial reporting. </li><li> Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls tools, systems, and processes. </li><li> Assist with business growth, team development, and mentoring junior staff. </li><li> Collaborate with wider project controls functions including planning and risk management teams. </li><li> Support the preparation of client deliverables and strategic business initiatives.</li></ul><b>Required Experience for Senior Cost Manager:</b><ul><li>Experience in cost management/project controls within infrastructure, energy, utilities, or construction sectors. </li><li> Strong understanding of cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and Earned Value Management (EVM). </li><li> Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Power BI, PRISM, Oracle, Deltek, or similar systems. </li><li> Knowledge of NEC/FIDIC contracts and commercial management principles. </li><li> Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills. </li><li> Degree qualified in a construction, commercial, engineering, or finance-related discipline. </li><li> Professional membership (RICS, AACE, ICE, or similar) desirable. xwzovoh </li><li> Previous consultancy and major projects experience preferred.</li></ul><br>
