Job description
Frontier Resourcing is supporting the delivery of a number of high-profile defence and infrastructure programmes and is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller / Senior Project Controls Engineer to join a growing programme delivery team based around Derby.<br><br>Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.<br>This role will support the delivery of cost control and performance management activities across complex infrastructure programmes , working closely with project delivery teams and wider project controls specialists.<br>Hybrid working arrangements of 3 days client site. Due to the nature of the role, you must hold SC Clearance or above and be a sole UK national.<br>Key Responsibilities Cost Control and Budget Management Implement and maintain cost control processes, systems and procedures to monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditure and forecasts<br><br>Tailor cost control approaches to meet programme requirements while aligning with industry best practice<br><br>Promote the value and importance of cost control across project and programme teams<br><br>Cost Structure and Budget Alignment Develop Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) aligned with project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)<br><br>Ensure budgets are accurately time-phased and aligned with project delivery plans<br><br>Map cost estimates to the appropriate work packages, planning packages and control accounts<br><br>Cost Reporting and Performance Analysis Produce regular cost and performance reports to support project governance and programme oversight<br><br>Analyse Earned Value Management (EVM) data including cost and schedule performance indicators<br><br>Support forecasting activities and provide insights into cost performance trends<br><br>Financial Tracking and Accrual Management Lead the production of cost accruals to ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs<br><br>Ensure that Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP) is reflected correctly in cost reporting systems<br><br>Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, finance teams and programme leadership to ensure alignment of cost and project information<br><br>Provide cost data and analysis to support decision making and programme performance management<br><br>Process Improvement and Capability Development Support the development of cost reporting tools and tracking systems<br><br>Provide guidance, training and mentoring to junior team members and project stakeholders on cost control processes and best practice?<br><br>Skills and Experience Essential Demonstrable experience in Cost Control within project or xwzovoh programme environments<br><br>Strong understanding of cost forecasting and cost performance reporting techniques<br><br>Experience supporting cost control assurance activities within programme performance cycles<br><br>Detailed knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) , progress reporting and performance analysis<br><br>Advanced capability using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools<br><br>Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams<br><br>Willingness to travel to project sites across the region as required<br><br>Desirable Experience using cost management or project controls software tools<br><br>Understanding of the wider Project Controls environment , including scheduling, risk management, reporting and change control<br><br>Familiarity with NEC contracts within infrastructure or construction programmes
