Were looking for a Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker to join a warm and supportive 2-bed childrens home in Derby, where your leadership and care will make a lasting difference in young peoples lives.<br><br>The Role As a Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker, you will take a leading role in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care while supporting the team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home.<br>You will:<br>Lead shifts and support the daily operations of the home<br>Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and young people<br>Support, mentor, and guide junior staff members on shift<br>Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews<br>Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people<br>Promote independence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing<br><br>What Were Looking For Minimum 1 years experience leading or supervising within childrens residential care<br>Strong understanding of residential childcare practices and safeguarding<br>Relevant childcare qualification in line with regulatory requirements<br>Full UK driving licence (essential)<br>A resilient, compassionate approach and genuine commitment to improving young lives<br><br>Working Pattern This is a full-time role based on a structured rota:<br>56.4 hours per week (including xwzovoh sleep-ins)<br>Shift pattern: 08:00 11:00 (following day) with sleep-in and handover<br>3-week rolling rota, averaging 10 shifts per month<br>Includes training, meetings, and development hours (approx. 244.5 hours per month)<br><br>Benefits Competitive salary with progression after probation<br>Generous annual leave entitlement of 360 hours per year<br>Structured rota supporting consistency and work-life balance<br>Ongoing training and professional development<br>Clear opportunities for progression within a growing organisation
