This is a client-facing role focused on supporting and enhancing cloud-based data platforms, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and high performing.</p><p>You will work within multidisciplinary Agile teams, providing both hands-on engineering and technical leadership. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex data challenges, improve platform performance, and help clients maximise the value of their data environments.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>• Support and enhance data platforms built on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and SSIS.</p><p>• Monitor, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve data pipeline and platform issues across multiple environments.</p><p>• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and deployments.</p><p>• Lead performance tuning, optimisation, and reliability improvements across data platforms.</p><p>• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate technical challenges into actionable solutions.</p><p>• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent delivery and value.</p><p>• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.</p><p>• Drive continuous improvement across development, testing, and deployment processes.</p><p>• Participate in an on-call rota as part of the Managed Services function.</p><p>Requirements</p><p>Essential:</p><p>• Proven experience as a Data Engineer supporting production data platforms and pipelines.</p><p>• Strong expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server, including performance tuning and optimisation.</p><p>• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory, including orchestration and environment management.</p><p>• Experience with SSIS for ETL and legacy data integration.</p><p>• Strong understanding of scalable and resilient data architecture design.</p><p>• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps.</p><p>• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, TDD).</p><p>• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p><p>• Experience managing multiple client environments and ensuring stability and performance.</p><p>Desirable:</p><p>• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.</p><p>• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).</p><p>• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI or Synapse Analytics.</p><p>• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.</p><p>• Exposure to IT service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow).</p><p>• Experience in consultancy or multi-client environments.</p><p>• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.</p><p>Benefits</p><p>• Competitive salary with structured progression opportunities.</p><p>• Contributory pension scheme (6% employer contribution).</p><p>• 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays.</p><p>• Flexible benefits package, including private healthcare, dental cover, and additional holiday purchase.</p><p>• Life assurance, critical illness cover, and wellbeing support.</p><p>• Cycle-to-Work scheme and electric vehicle salary sacrifice options.</p><p>• Access to discounts, financial wellbeing resources, and volunteer days. xwzovoh </p><p>Application Process</p><p>To apply, please follow the application link provided by our client to review the full role details and submit your application.</p>
