Job description
Five Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary SEN school in Street, supporting students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.<br><br>Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.<br><br>This role will involve supporting pupils across classes, providing both 1:1 and small group support in a structured and supportive specialist setting.<br><br>The position is required until the end of the summer term, offering a great opportunity to gain further experience in SEN education.<br><br>The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role and be confident supporting pupils with a range of needs.<br><br>You will play a key role in helping students access learning, regulate emotions, and develop independence within the school environment.<br><br>You will also be required to support with personal care, always promoting dignity, respect, and independence.<br><br>The school has a supportive staff team, strong leadership, and a positive ethos, with a focus on ensuring every pupil is given the opportunity to succeed.<br><br>The Role<br>- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND<br>- Assist with personal care needs in a respectful and professional manner<br>- Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation<br>- Work closely with teaching staff to support engagement and progress What We're Looking For<br>- Experience in a similar Teaching Assistant or support role<br>- Confidence supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs<br>- A patient, compassionate, and reliable approach<br>- Willingness to support with personal care Essential requirements: Right to work in the UK<br>- we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.<br><br>Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).<br><br>Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one<br>* *Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70.<br><br>This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.<br><br>What can Five Education offer you?<br>- Check out our Google reviews for one of the best supply experiences in Bristol!
