This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire and engage students with additional needs through creative and differentiated English teaching.</p><p>About the School:</p><p>This is a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) specialist school for pupils aged 11–16. The school provides education for students with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).</p><p>Many pupils present with additional needs across the four areas outlined in the SEN Code of Practice, including:</p><ul><li>Cognition and learning needs</li><li>Communication and interaction difficulties</li><li>Autism (with SEMH as the primary need)</li><li>ADHD and associated challenges</li><li>Medical needs</li></ul><p>The school offers a nurturing, structured, and therapeutic environment, supporting students both academically and emotionally to achieve their full potential.</p><p>The Role:</p><p>You will deliver engaging and accessible English lessons, tailored to meet a wide range of learning abilities and needs. xwzovoh You will play a key role in developing students’ literacy, communication, and confidence, using creative and adaptive teaching strategies.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons</li><li>Support students with SEMH and additional needs in developing literacy skills</li><li>Adapt resources to suit individual learning styles and abilities</li><li>Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets</li><li>Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment</li><li>Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and external professionals</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent</li><li>Experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN/SEMH setting</li><li>Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and behaviour management</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach</li></ul><p>What I C Talent Offers:</p><ul><li>Competitive daily rates</li><li>Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant</li><li>Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles</li><li>Access to CPD and training</li></ul><p>If you are a committed English teacher looking to make a real impact in an SEN setting, we would love to hear from you.</p>
