These are rewarding opportunities for teachers who are committed to supporting pupils with ASD and additional complex needs, either within a specialist setting or supporting children across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 in a mainstream environment.</p><p><strong>Key Details:</strong><br>Location: SEN school in Colchester, Essex <br>Start Date: September 2026 <br>Contract: Permanent <br>Salary: M1 to UPS1 + SEN allowance (where applicable) <br>Hours: Full-time <br>Key Stages: EYFS, KS1, or KS2</p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><ul><li>Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEN</li><li>Support children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (role flexibility available)</li><li>Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment</li><li>Promote pupils' academic, social, and emotional development</li><li>Work closely with SENCOs, class teachers, therapists, and support staff</li><li>Lead classroom routines and contribute to the wider school community</li><li>Ensure high standards of safeguarding and inclusive practice</li></ul><p>This is a fantastic opportunity in a school with a strong, supportive leadership teams and a clear focus on pupil wellbeing, progress, and independence. Opportunities are available in both specialist SEN settings and mainstream primary schools, all offering excellent facilities and a nurturing environment. Staff work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and therapists-including Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy professionals-to provide a holistic approach to learning.
