<p>Job Description</p><br>Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.<br><p>Learning Support Assistant (1:1 Support)</p><p>Start Date: September 2026Pay: £100 per dayLocation: School-based SEN provision</p><p>We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1–aged child with complex Special Educational Needs.</p><p>The pupil is non-verbal and has an ASD diagnosis, requiring consistent, patient and skilled support throughout the school day. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference in a child’s development and wellbeing.</p><p>The Role</p><ul><li>Providing tailored, 1:1 support within a specialist SEN school provision</li><li>Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning activities</li><li>Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to follow individual support plans</li><li>Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour</li><li>Supporting personal and sensory needs where required</li></ul><p>About You</p><ul><li>Experience supporting children or young people with complex additional needs is essential</li><li>Backgrounds in support work, children’s residential care, SEN settings or similar roles are very welcome</li><li>Calm, reliable and able to build trusting relationships</li><li>Patient, resilient and adaptable</li><li>Curriculum knowledge is not essential, as this role is centred on support rather than academic delivery</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Enhanced DBS certificate that is clear and up to date (or willingness to obtain xwzovoh one)</li><li>Previous experience with ASD and non-verbal communication is highly desirable</li></ul><p>What’s on Offer</p><ul><li>£100 per day</li><li>Opportunity to work in a supportive SEN environment</li><li>A chance to make a meaningful impact in a child’s early education</li><li>Ongoing support from experienced school staff</li></ul><p>If you are passionate about supporting children with complex needs and are looking for a fulfilling role starting in September 2026, we would love to hear from you.</p>
