<p><strong>Location:</strong> Home-based, with travel to customer sites. Ability to cover East of England/South East UK preferable. </p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> 40K per annum (FTE)</p><p><strong>Working Pattern:</strong> Full-time (Term-time only options available)</p><p><br><br>Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.<br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Data Protection Education is a specialist consultancy providing information governance and DPO services to schools, trusts, and local authorities. We are looking for a consultant who understands the "inner workings" of a school to help deliver our data protection framework. </p><p><br></p><p>We are especially interested in someone with ICT experience at a multi-academy trust level with a good understanding of cyber security and the DfE Digital Standards, though we are open to other experiences. School or MAT experience is a must.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a multi-faceted role combining <strong>on-site consultancy, account management, and technical support</strong> for our core legal team.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li><strong>True Flexibility:</strong> We support home-working and can offer term-time-only contracts for those who need to balance work with school holidays.</li><li><strong>Professional Growth:</strong> We provide admin support so you can focus on delivery, and we will sponsor you to gain internationally recognised data protection certifications.</li><li><strong>Collaborative Environment:</strong> You’ll work alongside legal professionals and school experts, ensuring you always have the backup you need for complex cases.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Client Management:</strong> Lead the relationship for Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and schools (approx. 3-4 days per week).</li><li><strong>Compliance Consultations:</strong> Conduct both in-school and remote audits to assess compliance and advise on implementation. This may include standalon cyber assessments.</li><li><strong>Content Contribution:</strong> Help develop policies and best-practice guidance for our online Knowledge Bank in the area of ICT, cyber security and digital standards. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>We are looking for "strong personalities" who understand the schools and MATs and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. You are likely a match if you fit one of these profiles:</p><ul><li>An experienced School Business Manager (SBM), IT Manager, or simliar.</li><li>An existing DPO, compliance or Information Governance professional.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>UK Travel:</strong> You <strong>must</strong> be able to visit schools across the UK (1-2 days a week during term time, occasionally involving an overnight stay). We are particularly looking for additional coverage in East of England and South East (Kent/Sussex)</li><li><strong>Transport:</strong> You must have your own transport (all standard expenses reimbursed) and a full UK driving licence.</li><li><strong>Technical Literacy:</strong> Strong skills in MS365 and GSuite are vital.</li><li>You must have experience working in UK schools.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Salary: 40k per annum (FTE)</li><li>30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).</li><li>Stakeholder pension. xwzovoh </li><li>Support for professional qualifications.</li></ul>
