We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children with emotional & behavioural difficulties.<br><br>Our children's home is a place where every child is valued and given the opportunity to thrive.<br><br>We are looking for passionate and resilient individuals to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of children.<br><br>Role Overview: As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the daily lives of Looked after Children, providing care, support, and guidance.<br><br>You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create individualised care plans and implement therapeutic interventions.<br><br>Your patience, empathy, and strong communication skills will help you manage challenging behaviours and support the children's emotional and developmental needs.<br><br>Shifts are early and lates.<br><br>1 Sleep in per week.<br><br>Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and supervision to children with challenging behaviour and complex needs.<br><br>Develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, fostering a sense of trust and security.<br><br>Implement and follow individualised care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met.<br><br>Manage and respond to challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and interventions.<br><br>Support children in their educational, social, and recreational activities.<br><br>Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.<br><br>Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.<br><br>Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure a holistic approach to care.<br><br>Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviour and complex needs.<br><br>Relevant qualifications in Residential Child Care, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential.<br><br>Strong understanding of child development and the impact of trauma and adverse experiences.<br><br>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br><br>Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.<br><br>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.<br><br>Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.<br><br>What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive working environment.<br><br>Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development.<br><br>Opportunities for career progression within the organisation.<br><br>Competitive salary and benefits package.<br><br>The chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. xwzovoh <br><br>Please send your CV to be considered for this exciting and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the life of a child.<br><br>Shift: 8 hour shift Licence/Certification: Right to work full time in the UK with no restrictions (required)
