<p><strong>Quality Manager (M&E)</strong></p><p> London (with UK project travel) | Full-time | Designer Group</p><p><br><br>Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity<br></p><p><strong>About Designer Group</strong></p><p>Designer Group is a leading international M&E contractor delivering complex engineering projects across data centres, energy, industrial and building services sectors.</p><p>We partner with some of the world’s most recognised organisations delivering high-quality, safe and technically excellent projects across the UK and Europe.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>We’re hiring a UK Quality Manager (M&E) to strengthen quality across our UK operations.</p><p>This is a hands-on, site-facing role focused on ensuring right-first-time delivery across mechanical and electrical packages: from installation through to commissioning and handover.</p><p>You’ll work across multiple projects, supporting teams on site, driving standards, and resolving quality issues before they impact programme or client delivery.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><p>You’ll take ownership of quality across M&E works, including:</p><ul><li>Implementing project quality plans, ITPs and inspection regimes</li><li>Ensuring installations meet specifications, drawings and standards</li><li>Leading audits, inspections and quality reviews across sites</li><li>Managing NCRs, defects and corrective actions</li><li>Supporting testing, commissioning and handover readiness</li><li>Verifying materials, plant and equipment before installation</li><li>Monitoring subcontractor and supplier quality performance</li><li>Tracking quality KPIs and reporting to project and senior teams</li><li>Driving continuous improvement and right-first-time delivery</li></ul><p>You’ll play a key role in protecting programme, reducing rework and ensuring a high standard of delivery across every project.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><p>We’re looking for someone who understands how M&E projects are delivered and knows where quality issues typically arise.</p><ul><li>Experience in M&E construction (building services, data centres, energy or industrial)</li><li>Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection systems</li><li>Ability to read drawings, specs and commissioning requirements</li><li>Experience managing defects, NCRs and root cause analysis</li><li>Comfortable working across multiple live sites</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li></ul><p>You may come from a mechanical, electrical or building services background — what matters is your ability to manage quality across both disciplines. xwzovoh </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering (preferred)</li><li>Or strong trade/technical background with QA/QC experience</li><li>Knowledge of ISO 9001 (essential)</li><li>Membership of CIBSE, IET, Engineers Ireland or CQI (advantageous)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why Join Designer Group</strong></p><ul><li>Work on high-value, technically complex M&E projects</li><li>Be part of a business known for delivery, quality and growth</li><li>Strong pipeline across the UK and Europe</li><li>Opportunity to influence standards across multiple projects</li><li>Clear scope to grow into senior quality or regional roles</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Apply</strong></p><p>If you’ve worked in M&E environments and know how to drive quality on site — we want to hear from you.</p><p><br></p><p>Apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion.</p>
