Quality Engineer<br><br>Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.<br><br>Bridgwater, Somerset<br> Full-Time | Permanent | Site based<br><br>£50,000 to £60,000 doe<br><br>My Client as part of their continued expansion are strengthening their Product Excellence, Quality, and Compliance team.<br><br>We are seeking a proactive and driven Quality Engineer to join our Bridgwater facility. This is a key role focused on improving product and process quality, resolving customer issues, and driving continuous improvement across operations.<br><br>You will act as a central link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring quality standards are consistently met and enhanced.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Act as the primary point of contact for customer and supplier quality issues<br>Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions<br>Lead the development and implementation of process risk assessments<br>Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and WCM methodologies<br>Monitor and analyse quality KPIs, providing insights and recommendations<br>Support New Product Introduction (NPI), influencing process design and quality standards<br>Conduct yield and defect analysis, leading improvement activities<br>Deliver training on quality standards, risk assessment, and improvement tools<br>Implement visual management systems to support operational excellence<br>Identify and implement poka-yoke (error-proofing) solutions<br>About You<br><br>Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within manufacturing<br>Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 13485)<br>Experience in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement<br>Confident working with data, metrics, and performance analysis<br>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally<br>Highly organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities<br>A collaborative team player with a proactive and self-motivated approach<br>Desirable:<br><br>Experience xwzovoh in food, medical, or high-care manufacturing environments<br>Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools and techniques<br>Benefits<br><br>22 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays<br> (increasing by 1 day per year of service up to 25 days)<br>Guaranteed Christmas & New Year shutdown<br> (a few days reserved from annual leave allowance)<br>Pension scheme (4% employer / 5% employee contribution)<br>Free on-site parking<br>On-site canteen<br>Access to Wellbeing 360<br>Cycle to Work (Bike2Work) scheme<br>Company uniform provided<br>Ongoing training and development opportunities<br>Career progression within a growing organisation<br>If the role is of interest, then send your CV today
