Quality Assistant - Food

Permanent Quality Assistant required for locally homegrown business based in Belfast.<br><br>Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.<br><br>Role Purpose: The Quality Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the Technical department within a busy food production environment.<br><br>The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting food safety and quality systems, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with company and customer standards.<br><br>Duties will include: Provide general administrative support to the Technical department.<br><br>Assist in maintaining food safety and quality management systems.<br><br>Complete and update technical documentation, records, and specifications.<br><br>Support internal audits, customer audits, and site inspections.<br><br>Assist with traceability exercises and product checks.<br><br>Monitor and file production and quality records accurately.<br><br>Support investigations relating to non-conformances and customer complaints.<br><br>Help ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.<br><br>Liaise with production teams regarding quality-related matters.<br><br>Any other duties required.<br><br>Essential Criteria Previous administrative experience, ideally within a food manufacturing or production environment ideally within a Technical or Quality department.<br><br>Experience working within a Technical or Quality department.<br><br>Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.<br><br>Good organisational skills and attention to detail.<br><br>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<br><br>Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.<br><br>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<br><br>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. xwzovoh <br><br>Knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, or food safety standards would be advantageous Hours of Work Monday to Thursday: 8:00am 5:00pm & Friday: 8:00am 3:30pm Salary & Benefits £29,000 £30,000 per annum Paid breaks Lunch provided daily Permanent, full-time position For further information contact Tanya Lyttle at GenTech Recruitment on to discuss further.<br><br>Skills: Quality Assistant Knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS Maintain food safety and quality management system<br>TPBN1_NI
