<p>Job Description</p><br>Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.<br><p>Onsite Operative</p><p>Base Location: Cheltenham (regular travel to external sites)Contract: Full-time, PermanentSalary:£32,000 – £40,000</p><p>Role Overview</p><p>A well-established business based in Cheltenham is seeking a reliable and practical Onsite Operative to support a variety of site-based projects. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.</p><p>The role involves travelling to client sites, meaning start times can be as early as 6:30am depending on location and project requirements. Finish times are typically around 4:00pm, although later finishes may be required on occasion.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Carry out a range of physical, hands-on duties in line with project requirements and specifications.</li><li>Safely use and handle equipment and materials on-site.</li><li>Follow all health & safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE at all times.</li><li>Identify and report hazards, defects, or issues promptly to supervisors.</li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.</li><li>Assist with the movement, storage, and organisation of materials while minimising waste.</li><li>Maintain high standards of workmanship and contribute to the smooth running of daily operations.</li></ul><p>Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>Previous experience in an on-site, industrial, construction, or hands-on operational role is preferred.</li><li>A solid understanding of health & safety practices.</li><li>Relevant site certifications (e.g. CSCS or similar) are beneficial but not essential.</li><li>Basic IT skills, including email and simple use of Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>Good communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>Reliable, proactive, and able to work well within a team. xwzovoh </li><li>Flexible approach to working hours and regular travel to site.</li></ul><p>What’s on Offer</p><ul><li>Salary of £32,000 – £40,000, depending on experience</li><li>Incentives and development opportunities as experience grows</li><li>Full training provided</li><li>Long-term career progression within the business</li><li>Supportive and friendly team environment</li><li>Free parking at the Cheltenham base</li></ul>
