<p>Job Description</p><br>Is this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.<br><p>PLC Software Engineer</p><p>Manchester</p><p>£60-70k DOE + benefits</p><p>Do you have previous hands-on experience programming PLCs (e.g Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) within Food, Production, Manufacturing or Electrical industries?</p><p>We are recruiting for an experienced PLC Software Engineer to join a well-established engineering business in Manchester. The company provides end-to-end solutions across mechanical and electrical design, installation, testing, maintenance, and SCADA-based plant monitoring, working with clients in manufacturing, material handling, and energy sectors.</p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity to work on varied, technically interesting projects within a business known for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.</p><p>You’ll be responsible for the design, programming and commissioning of PLC control systems, working across the full project lifecycle.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>PLC programming, development, and testing</li><li>Design and implementation of control systems</li><li>SCADA and HMI development</li><li>Testing and commissioning</li><li>Fault finding and system troubleshooting</li><li>Producing technical documentation</li><li>Working closely with electrical and mechanical teams</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Previous experience as a PLC Software Engineer or similar</li><li>Strong PLC programming skills (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi)</li><li>Experience with SCADA systems</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills</li></ul><p>Salary & Benefits:</p><ul><li>Up to £70,000 depending on experience</li><li>Company benefits package</li><li>Opportunity to work on varied, technically challenging projects</li><li>Real career progression opportunities in a growing business</li></ul><p>Interested?
