Passenger Security Officer

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Security Officers to join a well-respected and successful client at Belfast International Airport.<br><br>Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.<br><br>This role is open to applicants who have no previous security experience but have a genuine interest in aviation, customer service and security.<br><br>All necessary training will be fully paid and provided by sector experts including support in obtaining relevant background checks.<br><br>There is on-site mentoring and clear career pathways leading to specialist management roles within our team, so think big! Please note: Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.<br><br>Whats on offer: Rate of pay: £12.72 per hour whilst training.<br><br>£13.15 per hour after completion of x-ray training.<br><br>Shift Pattern: 5 on 3 off Early shifts: 10 hours Starting between 03:30<br>- 04:30 and finishing between 13:30<br>- 14:30 Late shifts: 10 hours Starting between 12:30<br>- 13:30 and finishing between 22:30<br>- 23:30 40 hours per week.<br><br>Weekly pay (every Friday).<br><br>Temp to Perm (performance based).<br><br>Free staff car parking.<br><br>Start Dates : April 2026 Key Duties: Using equipment and manual search techniques to ensure that no prohibited articles are taken into secure airport areas.<br><br>Carrying out regular patrols around airside and landside locations, access control, and passenger and x-ray screening.<br><br>Attending to and investigating reports of incidents.<br><br>Completing documentation clearly and concisely on any incidents that may have occurred.<br><br>Responding to and assisting with emergency situations.<br><br>Maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction at all times.<br><br>Requirements: A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.<br><br>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.<br><br>Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.<br><br>Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.<br><br>Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.<br><br>Proof of National Insurance Proof of (current) Address 5 Year Address History Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following their interview in line with CAA requirements.<br><br>PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.<br><br>For an opportunity to interview for this fantastic role, please submit your CV to apply! xwzovoh Optime Group is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.<br>TPBN1_NI
