Mobile Service Engineer Materials Handling Equipment Location: Reading / Heathrow area (ideally close to Heathrow Airport) Hours: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday–Friday Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 DOE Door-to-Door Pay Overtime About the Role We are working with a well-established, nationwide materials handling business that continues to grow through strong customer demand and long-term client relationships.<br><br>Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity<br><br>This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Service Engineer to join a family-run business that prides itself on delivering a genuinely local service while supporting some major national clients.<br><br>Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add to their engineering team in the Reading / Heathrow area, with Heathrow Airport being one of the key client sites.<br><br>The ideal candidate will be based close to Heathrow or within easy reach of the surrounding area.<br><br>The Role You will be responsible for travelling to customer sites to service, maintain, and repair a range of materials handling equipment.<br><br>Day-to-day responsibilities include: Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on forklift trucks and material handling equipment Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs Working across a variety of leading manufacturers including (but not limited to) Still, EP, Hyundai, Hyster, and more Providing a high level of customer service while on-site Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards Managing your own workload and maintaining accurate service records About You Proven experience working as a forklift / materials handling engineer is essential Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Confident working independently in a field-based role Good communication and customer-facing skills Full UK driving licence Ideally based within commuting distance of Heathrow Airport What's on Offer £36,000 – £40,000 DOE Door-to-door pay Overtime paid at 1.5x Company van Phone and specialist tooling provided 23 days holiday bank holidays (increasing with service) Death in service benefit (3x salary) Stable, long-term role within a growing business Why Join?
