<p><strong>Job Title: </strong>Mechanical Plant Engineer </p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Tamworth </p><p><strong>Type: </strong>Permanent </p><p><strong>Shifts: </strong>Monday – Friday 07:00 – 16:00, with potential for overtime </p><p><br><br>Read all the information about this opportunity carefully, then use the application button below to send your CV and application.<br></p><p>SRG are currently recruiting for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing client based in Tamworth. </p><p><br></p><p>This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining diagnosing and improving pant machinery to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations. As the Mechanical Maintenance/ Plant Engineer, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement. </p><p><br></p><p>This role provides clear progression pathways, supported by ongoing training and professional development opportunities. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities (including but not limited to): </strong></p><ul><li>Maintain, diagnose and repair plant equipment and machinery </li><li>Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and fault finding </li><li>Manage spare parts stock </li><li>Support design and development of new equipment </li><li>Support production by ensuring all equipment is fully operational. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Criteria: </strong></p><ul><li>NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds xwzovoh in Engineering (or equivalent) </li><li>Proven experience in a similar position </li><li>Strong mechanical engineering skills </li><li>IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable)</li><li>Welding to BS 4872-1 standard (desirable)</li><li>IPAF licence or willingness to obtain (desirable)</li><li>Hydraulics training (BFPA / NFPC) (desirable)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If interested, please apply or contact Julia for more information: </p><p> </p><p> </p>
