Mechanical Estimator

NUGENT are seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our Estimating department.<br><br>Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.<br><br>You will be a motivated and reliable individual who brings enthusiasm and positively to the team and you should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>This role can be based either in our Pomeroy or Belfast Office, depending on experience and candidates location (travel may be required to our other offices from time to time).<br><br>Key Responsibilities and Duties: Responsible for detailed mechanical take offs for a variety of projects from high level cost plans / budgets, design & build & fully designed.<br><br>Taking tenders through from arrival in the company to the effective handover to our contracts team when the project is secured.<br><br>Liaise and communicate with Sub-Contractors, Vendors and Suppliers to prepare tenders in a timely manner.<br><br>Understand and analyse mechanical drawings and schematics to establish the right price.<br><br>Take an active role in preparing commercial quantified schedules of rates / tender summary information.<br><br>Identify valued engineering options and any risks during the tender bid period.<br><br>Build relationships with our customers to promote repeat business.<br><br>Excellent attention to detail & communication skills.<br><br>Skills and Qualifications: Essential Time served plumber (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or proven industry experience.<br><br>Be able to demonstrate a comprehensive mechanical technical knowledge.<br><br>Ability to multitask and work under pressure.<br><br>Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.<br><br>Excellent communication skills Self-motivated, with a can-do approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.<br><br>Organised and disciplined in your planning an approach to work.<br><br>Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment.<br><br>Skills and Qualifications: Desirable Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.<br><br>Proficient in Microsoft Excel.<br><br>Proficient in Trimble (Amtech) Estimating Software or similar. xwzovoh <br><br>Why NUGENT?
