<p><strong>Mechanical Design Engineer (CAD Tooling)</strong> – Greenwich – circa £45 to £50.00 per hour DOE <strong>(Umbrella) </strong>– Long Term Contract</p><p><br><br>Make sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.<br></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in the industrialisation and introduction of cutting-edge submerged products into production. This long-term contract offers the opportunity to lead on defining, designing and validating complex tooling and equipment solutions, ensuring efficient assembly processes that deliver exceptional quality and reliability.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead collaboration with Supply Chain and R&D teams to support the industrialisation of new products.</li><li>Define, design and optimise tooling and equipment, including jigs, lifting fixtures and workstations, for efficient assembly and testing.</li><li>Recommend and implement alternative tooling solutions to improve efficiency, safety and reliability.</li><li>Use <strong>Creo CAD</strong> to develop and model advanced tooling concepts.</li><li>Present tooling solutions and influence key stakeholders.</li><li>Identify and source external equipment to strengthen production capabilities.</li><li>Manage relationships with tooling manufacturers to ensure delivery, compliance and quality standards are met.</li><li>Inspect and validate new tooling against specification, calibration and inspection requirements.</li><li>Oversee tooling validation and qualification model builds.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.</li><li><strong>Proven track record in designing tools, fixtures and equipment for complex assembly/manufacturing environments.</strong></li><li>Proficiency in <strong>Creo CAD</strong> preferred.</li><li>Strong ability to apply reliability engineering judgement.</li><li>Experience with FEA (Ansys) for stress/simulation analysis.</li><li>Significant experience in technical/manufacturing environments, ideally within high-reliability sectors. xwzovoh </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>How to apply:</strong></p><p>To apply for this excellent opportunity, please send your CV via Linkedin</p>
