<p>Job Description</p><br>Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.<br><p>SEN Maths Teacher</p><p>Location: Specialist Provision - Mansfield Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time Only Hours: 37.5 per week Salary: From £32,646</p><p>SEN Maths Teacher - Inspire, Support and Transform Learning</p><p>We are working with a specialist SEN provision to recruit a compassionate, creative and committed Maths Teacher to support children and young people through highly personalised learning pathways.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusion and thrives in a flexible, learner-centred environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering holistic, multi-sensory education to pupils who may be “hard to place” or disengaged from mainstream education.</p><p>About the Provision</p><p>The specialist provision supports children and young people aged 7-19, offering creative, trauma-informed education across multiple learning hubs. The focus is on re-engaging learners, rebuilding confidence and creating meaningful educational outcomes that extend beyond traditional classroom models.</p><p>The Role</p><p>As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will work with learners on a 1:1 or small-group basis, delivering an engaging and flexible Maths curriculum tailored to each young person’s needs, interests and EHCP outcomes.</p><p>You will collaborate closely with senior teaching staff to design and deliver innovative, multi-sensory learning experiences that support academic progress alongside social and emotional development.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Plan, deliver and review personalised Maths learning programmes</li><li>Create engaging, creative lessons using multi-sensory approaches</li><li>Build confidence, motivation and positive learning behaviours</li><li>Advocate for learners and involve them in decisions about their education</li><li>Maintain safeguarding, health & safety and risk management standards</li><li>Support learner profiles, SEN documentation, assessments and progress tracking</li><li>Contribute to curriculum development and subject improvement planning</li><li>Maintain accurate records, including EHCP and transition documentation</li><li>Commit to ongoing professional development and SEN best practice</li></ul><p>About You</p><p>We are looking for someone who is:</p><ul><li>Passionate about SEN and learner-centred education</li><li>Flexible, creative and solution-focused</li><li>Confident building positive relationships with learners, families and colleagues</li><li>Reflective and committed to continuous improvement</li></ul><p>Essential Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)</li><li>Experience teaching Maths</li><li>SEN teaching experience (preferred)</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel between learning hubs</li><li>Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle</li></ul><p>Interested?</p><p>If you’re passionate about transforming outcomes for young people with SEND, Reed Education would love to hear from you!</p><p>Please note, successful applicants will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.</p><p>Reed Education is deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults. xwzovoh We are proud to be a disability confident and equal opportunities employer.</p>
