The business operates across international markets and has built a strong reputation for innovation, operational excellence, and long-term investment in manufacturing capability.<br>The company is now seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing engineering operations within a complex electronics and assembly environment.<br>The Role<br>This position will lead the development and execution of manufacturing engineering strategy across PCB assembly and final product assembly operations. You will play a key role in driving operational performance, continuous improvement, new product introduction, and engineering capability across the site.<br>You will manage and develop a high-performing engineering team while supporting production efficiency, quality, safety, and future manufacturing growth.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team across operations.<br>Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.<br>Support NPI activities and ensure manufacturability standards are achieved.<br>Improve OEE, productivity, quality, and equipment performance.<br>Oversee PFMEA, DFMEA, process controls, and manufacturing standards.<br>Support investment planning for new manufacturing technologies and equipment.<br>Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, and NPI teams.<br>Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and site SHE standards.<br>Manage budgets, headcount planning, and engineering resource allocation.<br>Optimise shop-floor layouts and manufacturing flow.<br>Experience Required<br>Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar.<br>Strong background within electronics manufacturing environments.<br>Experience with surface-mount and through-hole assembly processes.<br>Proven leadership experience within manufacturing engineering operations.<br>Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.<br>Experience with PFMEA, DFMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.<br>Knowledge of SAP/MRP systems and MES platforms.<br>Lean Six Sigma certification desirable.<br>Chartered Engineer (CEng) status advantageous.<br>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. xwzovoh <br>What's on Offer<br>Salary up to £70,000 per annum<br>Competitive benefits package<br>Opportunity to join a globally established engineering business<br>Long-term career progression and leadership development<br>Collaborative and technology-driven environment<br>Involvement in advanced manufacturing and operational transformation projects<br>If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please apply or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
