Role | Maintenance Engineer</p><p>Areas | Planned Maintenance, Fault Finding, Plant Operations</p><p>Tech | Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, PLCs</p><p>Based | Rochester, Kent</p><p>Remote | On-site</p><p>Offer | £50,000</p><p>Hi</p><p>We’re working with our client, a well-established recycling and waste processing business, who are looking to appoint a Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day running of their site in Rochester.</p><p>This is a hands-on role within a busy plant environment, ensuring equipment and machinery are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards.</p><p>As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:</p><ul><li>Carry out planned preventative maintenance across plant and equipment</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults</li><li>Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime across the site</li><li>Work on conveyors, shredders, compactors and associated machinery</li><li>Support continuous improvement of plant performance and reliability</li><li>Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health and safety standards</li><li>Liaise with contractors and support servicing and compliance activities</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports</li></ul><p>What we’re looking for:</p><ul><li>Experience within a recycling, waste, manufacturing or process plant environment</li><li>Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills</li><li>Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors</li><li>Basic xwzovoh PLC knowledge and fault finding capability</li><li>A hands-on, proactive approach to maintenance</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Strong understanding of health and safety within an industrial setting</li></ul><p>What we offer:</p><ul><li>Salary of £50,000</li><li>Stable and growing business environment</li><li>Opportunity to work on a varied and technical plant</li><li>Support for ongoing development and training</li><li>Long-term career progression opportunities</li></ul>
