This is a highly strategic role, central to one of the organisation’s most critical modernisation initiatives, focused on migrating legacy systems to a scalable, cloud-based architecture.</p><p><br></p><p>Working closely with the Technology Leadership Team, you will take ownership of programme delivery end-to-end—ensuring execution, technical alignment, and stakeholder engagement across a complex and high-impact transformation.</p><p><br></p><p>In this role, you will combine strong programme leadership with a solid understanding of cloud and legacy modernisation, enabling the organisation to transition from mainframe environments to modern, cloud-native platforms.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale mainframe-to-cloud transformation programme, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.</li><li>Define and drive programme structure, governance, and execution across multiple workstreams (engineering, infrastructure, product, and business).</li><li>Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to shape migration strategies, including re-platforming, refactoring, and cloud-native adoption.</li><li>Manage senior stakeholders across technology and business functions, ensuring alignment, transparency, and momentum throughout the transformation.</li><li>Identify and mitigate programme risks, dependencies, and technical challenges associated with legacy system migration.</li><li>Establish clear reporting frameworks, providing executive-level insights on progress, risks, and outcomes.</li><li>Drive coordination across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of new cloud-based solutions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>7+ years of experience in programme management, with a strong track record delivering large-scale technology transformations.</li><li><strong>Proven experience leading mainframe modernisatio</strong>n and cloud migration programmes within financial services or complex enterprise environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of cloud platforms, migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor), and modern architecture principles.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stream programmes with significant technical and organisational dependencies.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and aligning cross-functional teams.</li><li>Strong delivery focus, with the ability to drive execution in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. xwzovoh </li><li>Experience establishing governance frameworks, reporting structures, and programme controls.</li></ul>
