Join Colchester Institute<br><br>Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.<br>- Where Your Career Makes a Difference At Colchester Institute, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities.<br><br>As one of the leading providers of education and training in the region, we are proud to offer a dynamic, supportive, and forward-thinking working environment.<br><br>We are seeking a Lecturer to join our team.<br><br>In this role you will deliver teaching in Motor Vehicle Refinishing across Levels 1-3, incorporating the embedding of English and maths where appropriate.<br><br>Undertake course leadership responsibilities and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum within the department.<br><br>Job title: Lecturer<br>- Course Leader<br>- Auto Body Repair and Refinishing Full time, Permanent About the role: Prepare and develop high-quality teaching and learning materials.<br><br>Deliver engaging and effective learning sessions tailored to the needs of individual students, courses, and the wider curriculum, while maintaining accurate attendance records and promoting positive behaviour.<br><br>Set, assess, and record coursework and assessments in line with awarding body requirements.<br><br>Provide academic and pastoral support to students, offering guidance on progress and referring to specialist services where appropriate, and contributing to progress reviews and reports.<br><br>Maintain high expectations of learners' performance, commitment, and behaviour, taking appropriate action to uphold standards.<br><br>Contribute to the work of subject and programme teams, as well as relevant committees and boards.<br><br>Support the promotion of the Institute's programmes by attending events such as open evenings, parents' evenings, careers events, and school visits.<br><br>Continuously evaluate and enhance the quality of teaching and learning through engagement with the College's quality improvement and observation processes.<br><br>Essential Experience: Evidence of recent CPD Significant experience of working in industry within a practical motor vehicle environment.<br><br>Experience of maintaining equipment associated with vehicle service and repair workshops.<br><br>Experience of training and assessing automotive subjects.<br><br>Essential Qualifications: Level 3 qualification or equivalent in vehicle service and repair.<br><br>Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4 or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.<br><br>Level 5 Teaching Qualification / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course.<br><br>Why join us?
