<p>Job Description</p><br>Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.<br><p>Lead Electrical Engineer - Hybrid</p><p>Greater Bristol Area, UK</p><p>3 days per week onsite | Hybrid/Flexible Working Options</p><p>Lead Engineering Innovation in a High-Tech Global Environment</p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a globally recognised engineering and technology organisation operating within advanced manufacturing solutions.</p><p>Based in the greater Bristol area, this role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a growing team of Electrical Engineers while playing a key role in the design and delivery of highly engineered, safety-critical industrial systems used by customers worldwide.</p><p>This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical leadership, systems thinking, mentoring, and product development within a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.</p><p>The Role</p><p>Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will provide technical leadership across electrical engineering activities, supporting the development of complex equipment and systems from concept through to delivery and compliance validation.</p><p>You will work at the centre of multidisciplinary engineering and product development teams, helping drive clarity, technical excellence, safety, and standardisation across projects.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead, motivate, and mentor a growing team of Electrical Engineers across multiple levels of experience</li><li>Drive the delivery of robust, compliant, and cost-effective electrical engineering solutions</li><li>Take ownership of technical elements of product systems and sub-systems, identifying risks and mitigation strategies</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve engineering challenges and ensure successful project delivery</li><li>Promote modularity, standardisation, and engineering best practice to maximise design reuse and efficiency</li><li>Oversee safety verification, type testing, validation, and compliance activities for assigned systems</li><li>Review and approve technical documentation, reports, and engineering outputs</li><li>Support project coordination, governance, and engineering planning activities</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development</li></ul><p>About You</p><p>You will be a technically strong and people-focused engineering professional with experience leading electrical engineering activities within a regulated engineering environment. xwzovoh </p><p>Essential Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline</li><li>Significant experience applying electrical engineering and product development best practices within a relevant engineering industry</li><li>Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating technical projects</li><li>Strong understanding of regulated and compliance-driven engineering environments</li><li>Experience with product safety and applicable electrical standards and directives</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills</li></ul><p>Desirable Experience</p><ul><li>Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline</li><li>Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership</li><li>Experience within advanced technology sectors</li><li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as:</li><li>Low Voltage Directive</li><li>EN/UL61010</li><li>EN60204</li><li>EMC Directive EN61326-1</li><li>Functional Safety standards including EN 61508, EN 13849, EN 61511</li><li>HAZOP and FMEA methodologies</li><li>SEMI S2 and SEMI S10</li><li>EN 12100 risk assessment standards</li></ul><p>If this opportunity is of interest, please apply for immediate consideration!!</p><br>Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
