<p>Job Description</p><br>Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.<br><p>L3 Digital Lecturer</p><p>I am representing a college in Leeds that are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Digital Lecturer to deliver BTEC Level 3 programmes in Computing and Data Science to Further Education learners (aged 16-18 learners).</p><p>You will play a key role in inspiring students and developing their skills in programming, IT systems, and data analysis, preparing them for higher education or careers in the digital sector.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 3 BTEC Computing and Data Science</li><li>Plan and deliver engaging lessons in:<ul><li>Programming (e.g. Python, C#, or similar)</li><li>IT systems and networking</li><li>Data analysis and data science fundamentals</li></ul></li><li>Assess student work in line with BTEC assessment criteria</li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to support learner progress</li><li>Track and monitor student performance, attendance, and engagement</li><li>Support students with academic and pastoral needs</li><li>Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement</li><li>Maintain accurate records in line with awarding body and college requirements</li><li>Participate in team meetings, standardisation, and quality assurance processes</li></ul><p>Essential Requirements</p><ul><li>Degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Data Science, IT, or a related field</li><li>Strong knowledge of:<ul><li>Programming (e.g. Python, Java, or C#)</li><li>IT systems and/or networking</li><li>Data handling and analysis</li></ul></li><li>Experience teaching or training in a relevant subject area(or strong industry experience with a willingness to teach)</li><li>Understanding of BTEC Level 3 qualifications or similar frameworks</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational skills</li><li>Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing</li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li>Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or DET)</li><li>Experience delivering BTEC Computing or Data Science</li><li>Industry experience in software development, IT, or data-related roles</li><li>Knowledge of tools such as:<ul><li>SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar</li><li>Version control (e.g. Git)</li></ul></li><li>Experience working with 16-19 learners in an FE setting</li></ul><p>Important Notice</p><p>Dovetail and Slate is a specialist education recruitment company.
