About IES Lean Systems Ltd With over 30 years of experience, IES Lean Systems Ltd.<br><br>Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.<br><br>is a leading systems integrator serving global industrial and environmental sectors.<br><br>We specialize in process safety, machinery safety, IACS cyber security, instrumentation, project rescue, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) , delivering innovative and compliant automation solutions.<br><br>Our expertise covers the full lifecycle of projects from consultancy and design through to installation, commissioning, and long-term support.<br><br>We deliver complete Turnkey Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E, C&I) projects , tailored to client requirements.<br><br>We operate extensively in highly regulated industries , with solutions designed to meet GxP requirements and international compliance standards.<br><br>In addition, we provide thermal mapping, instrumentation and gas analysis calibration, compliance, and maintenance services , ensuring that critical systems operate safely and efficiently.<br><br>Certified by LRQA to ISO 9001:2015 , we maintain the highest quality standards across design, system build, installation, support, and calibration.<br><br>At IES Lean Systems, we are committed to excellence in safety, security, compliance, and reliability , enabling our clients to achieve operational success in the most demanding industries.<br><br>About the Role: As a Control Systems Engineer , you will gain hands-on experience in industrial automation while supporting the delivery of complex control, safety, and security projects.<br><br>You while assist senior engineers with design, programming, commissioning, validation, and audit preparation.<br><br>This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise across multiple control platforms in highly regulated, GxP environments.<br><br>Key Responsibilities: Prepare technical documentation, wiring drawings, P&IDs, and test plans.<br><br>Assist in the design, programming, and testing of PLC / SCADA / HMI / Drives / Motors .<br><br>Support execution of thermal mapping and validation protocols .<br><br>Provide support during FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ and site commissioning.<br><br>Assist with preparing for ISO and cyber security audits .<br><br>Support senior engineers during client HSE audit preparation .<br><br>Work within highly regulated industries and ensure solutions comply with GxP requirements .<br><br>Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support (remote or onsite).<br><br>Provide holiday cover for site-based personnel (Wiltshire area) up to 25 days per year.<br><br>Skills & Experience: Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Control, Automation Engineering or similar Knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens PLCs (exposure to Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider Electric, Wago advantageous).<br><br>Familiarity with WinCC, InTouch, Ignition SCADA / HMIs (knowledge of GE iFIX, Rockwell FTV advantageous).<br><br>Basic knowledge of motor/drive commissioning ( Festo / Siemens Starter / Sinamics ).<br><br>Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, MPI, Modbus, Red Lion Data Station).<br><br>Understanding of electrical control panel wiring (ELV / LV) , ability to conduct basic wiring and fault-finding .<br><br>Understanding of Directives and standards associated with Process Safety, Machinery Safety, IACS cyber security including HSE<br>- OG86 (qualification or working towards).<br><br>Basic knowledge of CAD packages advantageous (AutoCAD Electrical / WSCAD / SkyCAD / VISIO) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.<br><br>Location: IES UK Office is Nottingham, UK.<br><br>Option to work from office is available if required.<br><br>This is usually limited to project kick-off or testing / FATs.<br><br>This role is predominantly work from home or on customer sites.<br><br>Attendance at or work from an IES office or workshop is not mandatory, so it requires an initiative-taker.<br><br>UK & Republic of Ireland wide travel can be involved but majority of the works is based in Leeds Area (Project works) / Wiltshire area (Maintenance & Continuous Improvement Works) for the coming years.<br><br>Other info: The successful candidate must be able to pass BPSS Screening and obtain SC Security Clearance (requires 5 years UK residency).<br><br>Full UK driving licence.<br><br>What we Offer: Competitive Salary (£33,000<br>- £48,000, depending on Experience) Overtime and On Call Allowances.<br><br>25 days Annual Leave 8 bank holidays.<br><br>Pension Contributions.<br><br>Bonus scheme. xwzovoh <br><br>Training & Education will be provided to develop and maintain technical skills and knowledge relevant to instrumentation, gas analytical systems, control systems, Process / Machinery safety, cyber security.
