Vickerstock are working in partnership with a reputable Dungannon-based manufacturing business to assist with the appointment of Junior Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing operations and supplier management activities.<br><br>Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.<br><br>The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods, materials and services required to support production and customer demand, while also identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality and supplier performance.<br><br>The Role Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer / Procurement Coordinator will take responsibility for the end-to-end purchasing process, supplier coordination and inventory management activities across the business.<br><br>Managing the day-to-day procurement of goods, raw materials, consumables, components and services in line with production schedules and customer order requirements.<br><br>Coordinating supplier call-off orders and monitoring long lead-time materials to ensure continuity of supply and minimise operational disruption.<br><br>Monitoring inventory levels through regular stock reviews and proactively replenishing consumables to prevent shortages and downtime.<br><br>Processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately through Sage Line 50, ensuring all product codes, pricing and delivery requirements are maintained correctly.<br><br>Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support quality, delivery performance and commercial objectives.<br><br>Supporting supplier negotiations and assisting with the establishment of supplier agreements and commercial terms.<br><br>Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives and procurement improvements without compromising quality or service levels.<br><br>Monitoring spend against budget and providing updates on purchasing activity and expenditure where required.<br><br>Conducting supplier performance reviews, managing supplier non-conformances and supporting corrective action activities in line with ISO 9001 standards.<br><br>Producing procurement-related reports including supplier performance metrics, cost reduction initiatives, stock availability and shortage prevention measures.<br><br>Maintaining awareness of market conditions, inflationary pressures and supply chain developments that may impact purchasing activity.<br><br>Working closely with production, engineering, stores and other internal departments to ensure effective communication and operational alignment.<br><br>Criteria Previous experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain environment.<br><br>Material Planners also considered.<br><br>Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering business.<br><br>Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to maintain accurate purchasing records and data.<br><br>Strong numerical and administrative accuracy with excellent attention to detail.<br><br>Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships across suppliers and internal departments.<br><br>Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.<br><br>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve supply chain or purchasing issues proactively.<br><br>Desirable Criteria Previous experience using Sage Line 50 or a similar ERP/MRP system.<br><br>Third level qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent NVQ Level 4 qualification. xwzovoh <br><br>For a confidential discussion on this opportunity, or to find out more, contact Vickerstock today.<br><br>Skills: buyer junior buyer procurement manufacturing engineering MRP ERP Benefits: health cash plan pension life assur<br>TPBN1_NI
