It’s performance-heavy software, complex GUIs and systems that have to work first time.</p><p>The Job</p><p>You’ll join an experienced Java team developing desktop applications for data-intensive, mathematically heavy systems.</p><p>Day to day:</p><ul><li>Building Java applications with React or JavaFX or Swing</li><li>Working in Linux environments</li><li>Contributing to real-time processing systems</li><li>Testing properly, not just hoping for the best</li></ul><p>What You Need</p><ul><li>5+ years’ Java background software engineering experience</li><li>Solid GUI development</li><li>Experience with real-time or high-throughput systems</li><li>Comfortable working on Linux</li></ul><p>You’ll need to be methodical, adaptable and take pride in your work. xwzovoh No hand-holding.</p><p>Nice to Have</p><ul><li>Linux optimisation and deployment experience</li><li>Networking fundamentals (IP protocols, Ethernet configuration)</li><li>Low-level Linux or driver interfacing</li><li>DSP, signal or radar or lidar or image processing knowledge</li></ul><p>Non-Negotiables</p><ul><li>UK national with a valid UK passport for high-level Security Clearance</li></ul>
