IT Support Engineer

<p>Job Description</p><br>Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.<br><p>We are currently working with a leading manufacturing group who are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Support Engineer to join their busy in-house IT team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting users across multiple sites and international locations, offering exposure to a wide range of technologies and IT functions.</p><p>The Role</p><p>You will provide 1st and 2nd line support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of IT services within a fast-paced production environment. Acting as a key point of contact for all levels of staff, you will manage IT requests, monitor systems, and support both physical and virtual infrastructure.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Deliver 1st/2nd line hardware and application support (on-site and remote)</li><li>Build, upgrade and maintain PCs, hardware and operating systems</li><li>Install and support software applications</li><li>Administer user accounts and deliver new starter inductions</li><li>Monitor servers, networks, backups and system health</li><li>Support Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Outlook, Teams, Office)</li><li>Manage IT asset procurement, setup, and lifecycle (including disposal)</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and records</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role</li><li>Strong knowledge of Windows domain environments and Office 365</li><li>Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware and/or Hyper-V)</li><li>Proven troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and networking</li><li>Highly organised with the ability to prioritise xwzovoh in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across all business levels</li><li>Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)</li></ul><p>The Offer</p><ul><li>Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (primarily on-site)</li><li>Opportunity to work within a dynamic, multi-site manufacturing business</li><li>Broad exposure to IT systems and projects across the group</li></ul><p>If you’re a motivated IT professional looking for a varied and rewarding role, we’d like to hear from you.</p>
