Job description
VANRATH have partnered with a well-established and growing supplier within the construction supplies sector across Northern Ireland.<br><br>Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.<br><br>The organisation is looking to recruit an Internal Sales Representative for their trade counter serving the construction industry.<br><br>The successful candidate will work within the company's Belfast branch.<br><br>This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual to join a busy and supportive team environment.<br><br>If you have experience in customer service or sales and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, this could be a great fit for you<br>- This role is full-time and permanent.<br><br>Salary: ~£27,000 + commission (£30,000<br>- £32,400 OTE) Responsibilities: Bringing together a passion for customer service and a proactive approach to sales, you will take personal responsibility for: Providing a warm and professional welcome to all customers at the trade counter.<br><br>Taking the time to understand customer needs and offering appropriate product advice.<br><br>Processing transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, including handling payments and issuing receipts.<br><br>Identifying opportunities to upsell additional products and maximise sales.<br><br>Maintaining an organised, clean and well-stocked trade counter area.<br><br>Monitoring stock levels and replenishing shelves as required, escalating low stock levels to management.<br><br>Handling customer enquiries both in person and over the phone in a courteous and efficient manner.<br><br>Processing customer orders for collection.<br><br>Supporting colleagues during busy periods to ensure a smooth and efficient service.<br><br>Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.<br><br>The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-facing or sales-led environment.<br><br>You will be self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.<br><br>A good KPI-focused sales background Basic numeracy skills and attention to detail are essential for handling transactions accurately.<br><br>You will be confident in upselling products in a helpful and consultative manner.<br><br>A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team is key.<br><br>Check out some of your candidate feedback- 'I would highly recommend Vanrath.<br><br>Very friendly and helpful staff.<br><br>They very informative and kept me up to date throughout the interview process and answered any questions I had.'
