HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – AFTERNOON SHIFT<br><br>Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity<br>People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based at East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire .<br>This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities with the potential to secure a permanent position.<br>This role will suit applicants looking for work as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.<br>Shifts:<br>• Monday to Friday<br>• Start times between 14:00 and 16:00<br>Rates of Pay:<br>• 06:00 – 18:00: £16.66 per hour<br>• 18:00 – 06:00: £20.82 per hour<br>Benefits:<br>• Weekly pay<br>• Ongoing long-term work<br>• Permanent opportunities available for the right candidates<br>• On-site canteen facilities<br>• Secure onsite parking<br>• Overtime available<br>• Modern 23-plate vehicles<br>• 33 days holiday once permanent (aligned with factory shutdowns)<br>• Excellent rates of pay<br>• On-site mental health first aiders<br>Day-to-Day Duties:<br>• Safely operating Category C+E vehicles completing 3–5 trunk runs per day<br>• Operating curtain-sider trailers and securing loads correctly, including awkward loads<br>• Making timely deliveries to various destinations<br>• Communicating effectively with the transport team<br>• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations<br>• Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and working time directives<br>Essential Skills:<br>• Valid UK Category C+E Licence<br>• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card<br>• Minimum six months continuous Class 1 driving experience<br>• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements<br>• No major endorsement codes<br>• Excellent communication and time management skills<br>• Professional and reliable attitude<br>Desirable Experience:<br>• Experience securing and strapping abnormal loads<br>• Experience manoeuvring within tight delivery depots<br>Training Provided:<br>• Driving assessment required prior to start<br>• Three-day paid company induction programme<br>• Full industry-related training and ongoing support<br>Apply:<br>If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to find out more, please click apply. xwzovoh <br>People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
