HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver / Ground Operative<br><br>If your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.<br>UK Wide Projects | Monday to Friday | Permanent or Temp-to-Perm<br>We are recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver / Ground Operative to join one of the UKs most renowned environmental contractors , working on high-profile, specialist projects across the country.<br>This is not a waste industry role there is NO human waste involved . The work focuses on environmental response, clean-up, and remediation projects where the environment may be adversely affected.<br>The Role You will be part of specialist teams working alongside engineers and environmental professionals on tailored, time-critical jobs.<br>Projects include:<br>Fire disaster clean-ups<br>Oil spill response<br>Petrol station rebuilds<br>Chemical spill remediation<br>Environmental recovery and protection works<br>Approximately 1020% of the role is driving , with the rest being hands-on ground operations and team-based site work .<br>Requirements HGV Class 1 (Category C+e) licence<br>Tanker experience of some kind is essential<br>ADR Licence highly beneficial<br>High Pressure Jetting Ticket or proven experience required<br>JetVac tanker experience is an advantage<br>Strong work ethic and flexibility for overtime and travel<br>Comfortable working in challenging, safety-critical environments<br>Hours & Pay Contracted 40 hours per week Monday to Friday<br>Large amounts of overtime available and expected<br>Some jobs require overnight stays accommodation paid for<br>All hours before 7am and after 5pm paid at Time & a Half<br>Some overtime paid at Double Time<br>Company handles highly critical, time-sensitive jobs requiring additional hours<br>Career Progression This is a long-term career move , not just a driving xwzovoh job.<br>There are clear pathways into:<br>Senior Operative roles<br>Supervisory positions<br>Leadership and management within specialist teams<br>Contract Options You can join:<br>Permanent from Day One ideal for candidates seeking long-term security<br>Temp-to-Perm 12 weeks through agency to experience the company and role before committing<br>If youre looking for a hands-on, well-paid role with real career progression , working on some of the UKs most important environmental projects, this is the opportunity for you.<br>Apply now to take the next step in your career.
